As DSV’s size alone triggers economies of scale, it means that we have an excellent point of departure for acquiring market shares. The more cargo we can consolidate, the more we can optimise our transports – for the benefit of both our business and the environment.
On 8 February 2018 we published our 2017 Annual Report and CSR Report, which take in-depth looks at the results for last year. One of last year’s topics – for DSV and the world in general – was green technology and green changeover.
In December, Emmanuel Macron, President of France, hosted yet another climate summit in Paris; and in November, I myself was guest speaker at Toronto Global Forum (International Economic Forum of the Americas), where I urged politicians and global fora to take a tougher line.
One of my points in this context was that DSV cannot alone make the investments required for an outright green changeover at global level. What we can do, however, is articulate the need for green solutions – not least in our collaboration with customers.
